Welcome to second semester UNICEF!
- Applications for Freshmen and Sophomore Class Representative applications were due January 1 and so now have been accepted and processed. Congratulations to Freshmen Saksha Krishnan and Sophomore Sammie Husien, who will now serve as the primary voice for their respective grade levels in the club's board of officers!
- To those who did not make the position, don't be disheartened! All the applications showed extreme promise for great leadership in the future, so please consider running again next year.
- Meeting dates for the rest of this year have been pre-determined and our now posted on the Join page of our website. Make sure you are signed up for our Remind list to receive updates and changes on these dates by texting @unicef02 to 81010.
- This month's featured topic is Child Trafficking, which refers to the illegal movement and exploitation of children. This is a critical issue for children worldwide, affecting all 50 state in the US as well, by taking advantage of their innocence .

- Now that you have some background, it's time to take action. Head to this page to endorse some of UNICEF's petitions in Congress, such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Reach Act, and more.
