- Has it been one whole semester already? You bet. At this meeting we primarily began planning events and introducing topics that will take us straight into 2015.
- I said it twice and I'll say it again. T-shirts will be ordered over Christmas Break. You can find a picture of it in an older post. You have until Thursday, December 18th to contact me if you're interested. Either leave a comment in the About tab or shoot an email to [email protected]. Money will be due at our next meeting, January 8, and t-shirts will be distributed then, as well. Remember, you do not have to be in UNICEF to buy a shirt.
- Unveiling the new #Imagine Project! All you music savy people out there, this ones' for you! You can record your version of John Lennon's "Imagine" and get the chance to have your vocals in a multi-lingual global remake accompanied by celebrity artists and ambassadors. Lend your voice to history and help raise awareness for children's rights. The official video will be released on New Year's Day 2015, but here's a bit of a glimpse at it. Recognize anyone?
- We played a little bit of Kahoot to cover our featured topic of this month, which was HIV/AIDS, and revise that of previous months. If you get a chance, you can play it by clicking the link below. You will need two devices, however, one to view the questions and another to input answers. Other family members and friends are welcome to play, but be warned that some questions pertain specifically to our club.
- Unfortunately, it has been recently announced that Movies 4 Development, a competition amongst high school clubs to create a minute-long video short embodying one of our goals, has been cancelled :( However, UNICEF is always welcoming to videos and will gladly accept any throughout the year.
- There is a WebEx Meeting on Thursday, December 11 at 8 PM for anyone who wants to learn how to get more involved in volunteering with UNICEF. In other words, it's a crash course in all things UNICEF. If you can't attend, that's okay, we'll cover it at our next meeting.
- And finally, here are the results to what we want to see most in the second semester: change wars, Krispy Kreme donut sales, student-faculty matches, and benefit concerts. Hit with a sudden great idea for an event? Get in touch with us by leaving a comment in the About tab!
