- Thank you all for your participation in both the UNICEF Halloween Change War and Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Challenge! Our individual club raised just over $1,700 for UNICEF's lifesaving work for malnourished children, in addition to the 345 food packets unlocked by the Photo Challenge. We were successfully able to advocate for UNICEF's mission to both staff and study body alike, educating them about the critical obstacles that poverty and violence place in a child's life.
- A huge shout out to Miss Bajaksouzian, the officers, and the following members, all of whom stayed after several hours to help us count change and update the points throughout the Change War: Amelia, Vyoma, Armesh, Brahmini, Shubh, Maria, and Olivia.
- Leadership applications for the 2017-2018 school year will be opening early December. Given that the majority of the current board is composed of Seniors and upperclassmen, we would like to give next years officers the opportunity to observe how UNICEF operates behind the scenes, similar to a "shadowing experience". There are many spots available for you to get more involved in the club so keep an eye out for the application!
- Today's meeting we will be taking part in the Youth Uplift Challenge sponsored by Student's Rebuild and the Bezos Family. For every paper hand cutout that you make, the Bezos Family will donate up to $1.90 to the Save the Children's Program benefiting kids in need in both Indonesia and Nicaragua.
- To obtain the additional event point for the membership point system, you must turn in 2 hand cut-outs by our next meeting!
